2021 Year End Denver Real Estate Market Watch Statistics

Another Incredible Year In The Books

As we reflect back on 2021 one thing stood out. Demand for homes has never been higher. Huge Buyer demand and record low interest rates drove the metro Denver real estate market throughout the entire year.

The number of new listings struggled to keep up with demand.  Supply hovered at near records low causing a dip in the number of homes sold vs 2020.

2021 Denver Realt Estate Market Watch Snapshot

Sellers continued to benefit from a very strong Sellers market. Those homeowners who chose to put their homes on the market saw prices skyrocket. The Average home price climbed 17% to over $610,000. Buyers experienced fierce competition with most homes receiving multiple offers way over asking price with many as all cash offers.

The average home sold in two weeks or less with many in 3 days or less.

Most forecasters expect the spring selling season to start earlier than ever as Buyers try to beat the rush of expected competition. Another factor heading into the new year is the expectation that interest rates will rise substantially throughout 2022. Want to see more details? Download the full market watch report below.
